Roadmap

Where DayOneFlow is going

What we’re doing now, what comes next and what’s further out. Plans change with what pilot organizations tell us, so there are no dates here — and nothing below is available until it appears in What’s New.

Now

5 items

Getting the first supervised pilots running.

  • Final legal documents

Completing the privacy notice, terms and data processing agreement with counsel.

  • Production email, backups and monitoring

An authenticated sending domain (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), off-server backups with a restore drill at real size, and uptime alerts.

  • A manual screen-reader pass

Of the candidate’s offer acceptance, details form and an upload task — beyond the automated accessibility checks.

  • Letter templates for each pilot

Each pilot organization adapts the example offer and confirmation letters with its counsel before the first real offer.

  • Listening

What pilot organizations tell us decides the order of everything below.

Next

10 items

Planned improvements once the pilots are under way.

  • Point-in-time recovery

Continuous database archiving, so much less data could be lost than with daily backups.

  • Retention and deletion controls

Retention periods you configure, and deleting one person’s record on request.

  • Better letter templates

Salary periods other than annual, more variables, a warning before a letter is frozen with placeholders, the acknowledgement text stored with each acceptance, and template version history.

  • Document categories for upload tasks

So files new hires upload are filed as, for example, identity or work authorization.

  • Opt-in preboarding fields

Bank and government ID fields an organization can switch on when it needs them.

  • Organization logo

Your logo in the portal and on letters.

  • Readiness override setting

A per-organization choice of who may mark a hire ready while critical items are open.

  • A preview for probation end changes

See which tasks move before changing a planned probation end date.

  • Audited support access

Explicit, recorded support access for the DayOneFlow team — never invisible.

  • Faster at larger volumes

Quicker paging and search for organizations with many new hires.

Later

12 items

The direction after that, built when there is clear demand.

  • Offer approvals

Sequential approval of an offer before it’s sent.

  • E-signature provider integration

For organizations that need formal signatures, alongside today’s acceptance and acknowledgement.

  • Custom preboarding fields

Fields of your own on the new hire’s details form.

  • Equipment assignment

Requested items, owners and status as part of the journey — not an asset inventory.

  • Training and compliance items

Assigned links, documents and acknowledgements with completion — not a learning platform.

  • Buddies

A buddy for each new hire, who sees only what’s assigned to them.

  • Custom review templates

    Your own check-in questions.

  • Escalation policies

Configurable escalation beyond today’s fixed reminder rules.

  • CSV import

Add new hires from a file.

  • Webhooks, an API and integrations

Outgoing webhooks and an API, and first integrations with Google, Microsoft, Slack and Teams.

  • Subscription controls

Plans and billing inside the product.

  • Enterprise single sign-on and SCIM

For larger organizations, further out than the rest.

“Now” is work in progress, “Next” is planned and “Later” is the intended direction. Items can move between columns, change shape or be dropped as we learn.

Out of scope

What we won’t build

DayOneFlow stays focused on turning a selected candidate into a confirmed employee. These belong in other tools, and DayOneFlow works alongside them.

  • Applicant tracking: job posts, applications, interviews
  • Payroll, benefits and expenses
  • Attendance, leave and timesheets
  • A full employee records system (HRIS)
  • Annual performance and compensation reviews
  • A full learning management system
  • IT asset inventory, device management or account provisioning
  • Running background checks (DayOneFlow tracks their status, never their findings)
  • Offboarding
  • A home-grown “legally binding” e-signature
  • A general-purpose automation builder
  • AI that makes decisions about people
